The Return

Logline:

In a world where humans and mythical creatures are in constant warfare, a wounded human soldier tries to return home after being displaced in battle.

Dramatic Premise:

A war between human beings and mythical creatures of the air erupts as a result of a recently discovered unique type of water-like liquid. The substance is only found in the world above, which is inhabited by the creatures, and it is known to increase ones lifespan. A wounded soldier is left displaced and stranded in the sky world, after the war. Because he has studied the creatures since childhood, he is an essential asset to the Military. After finally adjusting to his new home and fully getting by, the Soldier is finally ordered to return to his homeland. He soon learns about the death of his mother through a call with his sister and prepares for his return. The Soldier desperately begins searching for a means to return to his family without the higher ups finding out. The Soldier assists one of the mystical creatures and this sparks the rage of those in power. The soldier eventually returns home, starts a revolution removing those in power and reunites with his family.
