Dealing with masculinity and the freedom in identity, this feature length film explores these topics through the lens of a young South African prince in the 1700’s.

The original feature film focuses on the life the Lilanga whose greatest desire is to prove his worth to his father to fight in a brewing war. Two important details that are worth mentioning is the fact that the father of the protagonist is gradually growing blind. The second important piece of information is the fact that the protagonist’s older brother, who was more similar to his father has passed away
